Technical Specifications
The SGM electro Drum Magnet TMR Model is designed with axial polarities, anodized aluminum strip winding for maximum heat dissipation, and low electrical density for minimum heat build-up. Resulting in optimum ferrous attraction performance for auto shredder scrap and other heavy duty industrial applications. Maximum robustness is guaranteed since all mechanical parts are abundantly sized and designed for locking into each other through maximum contact sections. The main shaft is made of a single machined billet (no weld).
Technical Specifications
- Double casing in 10 mm and 8 mm manganese steel (for the inner and outer layers, respectively)
- Structure of the inner sections in heavier steel and with enhanced magnetic capacity to obtain a greater depth of attraction
- Internal counterweight to direct the magnetically active zone of the electromagnetic drum
- Equipped with two 115 mm blades (4 ½”), except the TMR 100 120 model, and 8/10 65 mm blades (2 ½”)
- Supply of gears and transmission system component operations
- The electromagnetic drum (Model TMR) made by SGM Magnetics is designed with axial polarities and with an anodized aluminum winding system for maximum heat dissipation.
Operation
It is designed to work with low electrical density to reduce heat build-up with optimum ferrous adhesive performance for scrap from shredders and other heavy industrial applications.
The strength is guaranteed since all the mechanical parts are properly sized and designed to lock each other through the sections of maximum contact; the main shaft is machined from solid (no welding).
The TMR electromagnetic drum can be placed either above or below the conveyor belt, or the vibrating channel.
If the separator is fixed above the carpet, the ferrous material is already attracted at a distance of more than 100 cm and is released into the collection container arranged during the rotation of the drum. The waste material falls at the end of the belt to another collection point positioned according to the natural fall path.
If the electromagnetic drum is placed under the conveyor belt, the processing material is dropped onto the drum that holds the ferrous metals and releases non-ferrous residues. During its rotation, iron residues slide into a special container.
TMR Models
SGM Magnetics produces 9 models of TMR drum electromagnetic separators, each with different:
- Weight
- Magnet power
- Maximum working distance between drum and shredded car residues
- Current demand
- Speed of rotation of the drum
- Number and size of gills on the body
- Typical applications
- Magnetic drums are used for the recovery or elimination of ferrous metals in many
