POSCO Chooses SGM Mega Scrap Magnets

POSCO, one of the world’s largest steel producers, has placed a new order for five pairs of octagonal scrap magnets, the largest ever designed by SGM (model EO2A 290/350 – 31.7 tons – 70 kW).

Since 1996, POSCO has been a long-term partner, with over 26 EPR pairs and numerous systems for vertical and horizontal coil handling already delivered.

SGM’s octagonal magnets, designed with dual magnetic circuits and anodized aluminum windings, deliver unmatched lifting capacity, superior heat dissipation, and longer operational life.
